Jimmy B has been acclaimed amongst the finest DJs & diggers in the everlasting House Music scene of the San Francisco Bay Area. As a Bay Area resident growing up in the 90s, Jimmy was fortunate to be influenced by a diverse array of culture & music. Ethnically mixed himself, Dutch-German from his mother's side, and his father’s Polynesian descent, Jimmy is truly a blend of the Bay Area culture and its ethos.
Jimmy began exploring the massive House Music boom taking place on California’s West Coast during high school. Eventually many of the best event spaces & clubs diminished due to new regulations and politics. Much of the electronic dance scene was pushed ‘underground’ into lofts, warehouses and intimate outdoor gatherings. This is when Jimmy and his college friends really became intrigued and manifested their own parties under the name RXFX. They spent much of their time organizing and DJing events catering to vibe-driven House Music.
While attending college in San Francisco, Jimmy befriended local artists DJ M3 and Anthony Mansfield. The two took Jimmy under their wings, getting him involved as a resident DJ with the legendary San Francisco DJ Crew and record label 'Green Gorilla'. Their nights of quality House Music hosting international artists eventually landed the three residencies at The Triple Crown. The Green Gorilla Crew DJ'd there for three years before moving their residency to San Francisco’s award winning Monarch Club.
Today Jimmy’s signature vibey sets has brought him to international audiences at Pike’s (Ibiza), The Garden Party (Croatia), Village Underground (London), The Mirage (NYC), Renate (Berlin), U-Street Hall (DC), Love International (Croatia), Flash (DC), Groovewell (Mexico), Output (NYC) and many more.
